Grapefruit and Tangerine | Waterdown Photographer

January 12, 2010

Grapefruit and tangerine!  Two of my favourite candle scents and just one of the ways I treat myself after a long day. Put it together with a great book and a glass of Pinot Grigio and I am on my way to relaxation!

Stress | Waterdown Lifestyle Photographer

January 11, 2010

I had no time or energy to think of todays picture as I spent the whole day at the hospital with my daughter.  She’s got some ab pain going on so we are looking into it but she seems to be feeling okay this evening.  Luckily we both had a purse full of gadgets to kill time in the ER.  I shot this and fully edited it with my iPhone.

Zipfy | Waterdown Photographer | Lifestyle

January 11, 2010

We LOVE the Zipfy!  It wasn’t just the kids who had fun zooming down the hill today.  The bonus for the little kids is it is super easy to carry back up the hill.   It was a gorgeous day to be outside!

Inquisitive | Waterdown Photographer

January 10, 2010

Today moved much faster than I would have liked so I am lucky I snapped this shot of my cat “Maeby” while he was following me around the house.   Yes, Maeby is his name.  All of our pets are named after TV/Movie characters from our favourite shows.  Anyone know the show?  Maeby is usually a hider but he was very interested in what I was doing today so I couldn’t resist snapping a shot of him.  I may have missed todays shot altogether as we got unpredictably swamped shortly after I woke up.

Day 8 | Waterdown Photographer

January 9, 2010

I couldn’t decide which image to use after todays walk so I went with 2 of my favourites.  A very peaceful view at the lease free area of Bronte Creek and my fabulous Black Lab Sasha.  She is always in heaven when she has the opportunity to run free!

Kerncliff Park: Near and Far

January 7, 2010

This is one of my favourite places to hang out with my camera (preferrably on a summer day!)  I love the peace and quiet here.  As soon as I get  an awesome zoom this is the first place I will go to catch some cool wildlife shots!  (assuming the weather is a little warmer than today!)

New Year’s Resolution???

January 6, 2010

This is my sister whom I love to death!  Anytime I need her she is there and I don’t know what I would do without her!  I am especially grateful she let me in her totally messy room to get this shot.  I was thinking about it last night and knew what I wanted to capture.  Even knowing I would be posting it everywhere she was awesome about it.  Thanks sis!!!

Christmas Lights: Waterdown Photographer

January 6, 2010

I have seen this done many times but have never tried it myself.  Since I had no natural light to work with today I thought it was a good opportunity to give it a try.  I’m happy with it!

Beware Nuts! Waterdown Photographer

January 4, 2010

Beware nuts…there is an army of nutcrackers on the loose today!  This isn’t my favourite image so far but it was valuable to the process.  There were all kinds of road blocks to my planned image so I was forced to work on the spur of the moment with a new subject and a new location.  That is a big part of what this project is all about for me so I am always glad to have the challenge.
